Bookish was created with the desire to bring the reading community together. We imagined a place where, when you read a book, there were hundreds of fellow readers that you could talk to about it. A place where you could find like minded readers, and bring your friends along for the journey. A place where readers felt understood not only by each other, but by the engineers behind the digital space itself.
A community cannot thrive when the primary goal is to profit off of everyone. We imagined a space where we uplifted not only readers themselves, but the small business that keep the reading community special. This space was created by actual readers, and not the billionaires trying to make a quick buck.
