Charles Walter Stansby Williams (20 September 1886 – 15 May 1945) was a British poet, novelist, literary critic, editor, biographer, Anglican Christian, and occultist. He was also a member of the Inklings along with C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. He is best known for his seven 'metaphysical thrillers', among which are War in Heaven (1930), The Place of the Lion (1931) and All Hallows Eve (1937). He also wrote history, literary criticism and theology, which included The Descent of the Dove (1929) and Outlines of Romantic Theology (1990). However, Williams regarded his Arthurian poetry as his finest achievement. Esoteric and dense, they include Taliessen Through Logres (1938), The Region of the Summer Stars (1944) and The Silver Stair (1912). Williams' literary style is notable, being labyrinthine and full of obscure allusions. He was influenced by a variety of sources, including the Bible, Arthurian legend and the occult.

Cherry Wilkinson was born on 30 March 1951 in Cape Town, South Africa. In her early 20's, she moved halfway across the globe from South Africa to the United States. She settled in beautiful San Francisco, where she started what eventually became a thriving interior design business, before deciding to channel her creativity into writing full time. When asked why she chose to write romance, she says, "There simply aren't enough happy endings in the world and I wanted to create a few more for people to enjoy." When not glued to her computer or reading, the former RITA finalist can be found puttering around her flower garden performing snailacide. "Christopher Anvil" is a pseudonym used by author Harry C. Crosby (1922-2009). Harry Crosby's first published short story was "Cinderella, Inc.", which appeared in the December 1952 issue of Imagination. By 1956, he had adopted the pseudonym and was being published in Astounding Magazine. His first published book was The Day the Machines Stopped (1964). He is best known for his Federation of Humanity series, which he referred to as the Colonization Series before they were published as collections. Most of his published works are short stories, and he has also produced four novels.
