Arto Tapio Paasilinna (20. huhtikuuta 1942 Kittilä – 15. lokakuuta 2018 Espoo) oli suomalainen kirjailija Paasilinna julkaisi uransa aikana kolmekymmentäviisi romaania ja lukuisia muita teoksia. Hänen tunnetuimpiin teoksiinsa lukeutuvat romaanit Jäniksen vuosi, Ulvova mylläri ja Hurmaava joukkoitsemurha. Hänen teoksiaan on käännetty yli 40 kielelle ja niitä on myyty maailmanlaajuisesti yli kahdeksan miljoonaa kappaletta. Arto Tapio Paasilinna was a Finnish writer, being a former journalist turned comic novelist. One of Finland's most successful novelists, he won a broad readership outside of Finland in a way few other Finnish authors have before. Translated into 27 languages, over seven million copies of his books have been sold worldwide, and he has been claimed as "instrumental in generating the current level of interest in books from Finland". Paasilinna is mostly known for his 1975 novel The Year of the Hare (Jäniksen vuosi).

Arturo Pérez-Reverte Gutiérrez (born 25 November 1951 in Cartagena) is a Spanish novelist and journalist. He worked as a war correspondent for RTVE and was a war correspondent for 21 years (1973–1994). His first novel, El húsar, set in the Napoleonic Wars, was released in 1986. Suzanna Arundhati Roy (born 24 November 1961) is an Indian author best known for her novel The God of Small Things (1997), which won the Booker Prize for Fiction in 1997 and became the biggest-selling book by a non-expatriate Indian author. She is also a political activist involved in human rights and environmental causes. She was the winner of the 2024 PEN Pinter Prize, given by English PEN, and she named imprisoned British-Egyptian writer and activist Alaa Abd El-Fattah as the "Writer of Courage," with whom she chose to share the award.
