Connie/Constance Bennett is the award-winning, bestselling author of five historical romances written under the pseudonym Constance Bennett, and fifteen contemporary romances written as Connie Bennett. A native of Missouri, Connie spent four years in Los Angeles performing live theatre and studying film and television acting before returning home to launch her writing career in 1985. Her Harlequin Superromances, Playing by the Rules and Thinking of You, were both nominated by Romantic Times as Best Superromance in their respective years of publication, and Playing by the Rules went on to win a Romantic Times achievement award as Best Romantic Mystery of 1990. Two years later, Connie received the first of her two prestigious Rita Award nominations from Romance Writers of America. Her Berkley/Diamond historical, Blossom, was nominated for a Rita in 1992, and in 1995, her Harlequin Superromance Single . . . with Children was nominated as Best Contemporary Category Romance. In 2000, Connie took a break from writing and recently retired from her 9-to-5 marketing job. Though she is no longer actively writing, she occasionally accepts invitations to teach her popular "Plotting Fiction" workshop," but mostly dabbles in refinishing "distressed" furniture and selling antiques and collectibles. She lives in Tornado Alley and is certainly accustomed to the threat of tornadoes, that also she included in some novels.

Constance Fecher was born on 6 August 1911 in Enfield, Middlesex, London, England, UK. She was educated at the Convent of Woodford Green, Essex since 1921 to 1928, when she joined to study at King's College London, where she obtained a Honours degree in English in 1931. In 1931, she also graduated at London College of Music. In 5 November 1939, she married William Heaven, who died in 1958. She was actress since 1939 to 1966. Published since 1963, she started writing historical novels with young protagonists under her maiden name Constance Fecher. Since 1972, she signed her novels more romantic, under her married name, Constance Heaven. She also used de pseudonym of Christina Merlin. In 1973, her novel "The House of Kuragin" was the Winner of the Romantic Novel of the Year Award, and years later she was elected the eleventh Chairman (1981-1983) of the Romantic Novelists' Association. Connie passed away in in 1995, and continued writing until her death.

Evelyn Gee was born on 1939 in Texas, USA. She makes her home in San Antonio with her husband, Jim and their son, Jason. She signed her novels as Constance O'Banyon. She also wrote as Micah Leigh with Texan writer Emma Merritt. Her books range from historical to contemporary and include several novellas. Many of her books have been published in trade paperback.Among her many awards, she is the recipient of the 1996 Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. There are eight million copies of her books in print. She says: "I have always loved history, and I loved storytelling — it was only natural that I would one day put them both together. I must have lived in another life and time, because when I write, I can almost feel I was there. My favorite part of writing is the research. Whenever possible, I will go to the place I am writing about to walk the land and smell the air."
