Sir Ernst Hans Josef Gombrich, OM, CBE (30 March 1909 – 3 November 2001) was an Austrian-born art historian who became a naturalized British citizen in 1947 and spent most of his working life in the United Kingdom. He was the author of many works of cultural history and art history, including The Story of Art, a book widely regarded as one of the most accessible introductions to the visual arts.

Ehsan Khavandkar (Ph.D., FHEA, M.Sc., B.Sc.) received his PhD in Economics of Innovation (ABS-funded) from Aston Business School, Aston University, where he also began his teaching career. Over the years, he has taught a variety of courses in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship and business strategy at Loughborough University, Aston University, Essex University and University of Wales (UWTSD). In recognition of his teaching success, he received the 2016-17 Aston Universitys Excellence in Teaching Award. Ehsans research spans economics of innovation, entrepreneurship, network externalities, knowledge & innovation ecosystem and agglomeration studies. A unifying theme across his work is an interest in “co-creation and co-evolution” as an avenue to engage individuals, firms, institutions and communities in sustainable, intersectoral and collaborative innovation practices in the short and long term. Over the last fifteen years, he has co-authored six books related to his work on innovation and entrepreneurship. One of his published books, Intellectual Capital: Management, Development and Measurement Models, won the Student Book of the Year Award in 2011. He has also received various awards recognising his contributions to the field. His most recent research project, United Kingdom Science and Technology Parks Survey which has received funding from Aston Business School, focuses on understanding how micro and small firms open innovation practices differ from one another, whether spatial and cognitive proximities matter in shaping firms` open search and appropriation strategies, and what these mean for knowledge ecosystem design in Britain. Before joining the academia, he worked in industry as an industrial and management consultant for 5 years.

Eileen Ainsworth was born on 16 December 1940 in the South-West of Scotland, where she brought up. She wrote since she was seven, but she decided become a teacher. After graduating she went to teach in the USA for a year - and stayed 18 years. She married Ian Ramsay, a Scottish mathematics scientist working on the first moon shots. They had two chidren. They returned to their native Scotland. Her writing for children and adults has won several awards, including the Constable and Pitlochry trophies from the Scottish Association of Writers and the Romantic Novelists' Association's Elizabeth Goudge Award. In 2004 she was short listed for the Romantic Novel of the Year award. Eileen is an honorary member of the Angus Writers Circle, was vice-president of the Scottish Association of Writers, a member of the Society of Authors and was on the committee of the Scottish branch for about six years and for four was the Secretary, and she was elected the twenty-seventh Chairman (2015-2017) of the Romantic Novelists' Association.

Eileen Garber was born in 1949. She obtained a Master Computer Scientist. During her distinguished career with the Department of Defense (1970-2001), she held a variety of technical leadership and management positions in emerging technology, knowledge management, Internet applications, IT workforce development, project management, policy and planning. Eileen first fiction book was a collaborative effort with three friends Ruth Glick, Louise Titchener, and Carolyn Males, the result was a romance novel Love is Elected, published in 1982 by Silhouette under the pseudonym Alyssa Howard. She also published two computer books for kids. She wrote over a dozen young adult's books with Ruth Glick, with whom she also wrote romance novels under the pseudonyms: Amanda Lee, Samantha Chase and Rebecca York. But in the late 1990s, she decided to stop writing romance novels and focused in her informatic career. She is an award-winning web designer since 1994. She serves as President of Technology Concepts, Inc, a web and knowledge management consultant firm for small business and government. Her client list includes bestselling authors such as Nora Roberts, Mary Jo Putney, and Patricia Rice, Bookstores such as Turn the Page Books, and Mystery Loves Company, and other small businesses. She writes a national column on the Internet for Better Health and Living Magazine and is a professor at the University of Phoenix Online and the UOP Maryland campus teaching e-business and web technology courses. Eileen is married with Howard Buckholtz, and had two sons, Ryan and David. The family lives in Maryland, USA.
