Tu Fu was a prominent Chinese poet of the Tang Dynasty. Along with Li Bai (Li Po), he is frequently called the greatest of the Chinese poets.[1] His greatest ambition was to serve his country as a successful civil servant, but he proved unable to make the necessary accommodations. His life, like the whole country, was devastated by the An Lushan Rebellion of 755, and his last 15 years were a time of almost constant unrest.

Una McCormack (born 13 January 1972) is a British-Irish academic, scriptwriter and novelist. She is the author of The Baba Yaga (2015) and The Star of the Sea (2016), two books in the Weird Space series from UK science fiction publisher Abaddon Books. His first novel, The Course of Justice, was published in 1903, and a prolific writing career followed. Whitechurch’s detective Thorpe Hazell was a vegetarian railway detective, written as an antidote to Sherlock Holmes.
